Admin
Financial Controller
Katy manages company financials, inventory, and policies and procedures. She likes that every day is different and that there are always new things to learn. Katy earned her Bachelor of science and worked in the veterinary industry for approximately 10yrs before getting MBA and switching to the ag industry. She is a past Tillamook rodeo queen and still loves to ride and compete with her horses.
Ag Service Admin
Mori has been part of the Ernst team since 2012. Her family currently has one horse and her husband and daughter are frequent riders. She is good at multitasking and has done some sort of office work since 2000.
Accounts Receivable
Ann has been with Ernst since 2010. She has over 30 years of experience in Accounting; specializing in accounts receivables. Ann has a reputation for accuracy and is very detail oriented, earning her degree in Business Administration & Finance from Oregon State University. Go Beavs! Ann lives on her family’s Century Farm, homesteaded by ancestor Carmi Goodrich over 150 years ago. Ann is also a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, with traceable American ancestry back to the 1600’s. Ann enjoys history, travel, wine tasting, paper crafts, and is involved in her local church. As a business, we are very fortunate to have qualified support personnel such as Ann to keep matters in order. Thanks Ann!!!
Irrigation Sales
Irrigation System Design and Sales
Adam is part of our irrigation sales team and spends much of his time working on designs for new systems for our customers. His experience before joining the team here, at Ernst, includes irrigation management, farm management, and pest control. His favorite part of his job is working with great people. He says his coworkers are awesome and he has never worked with such pleasant customers as we have at Ernst. When he’s not busy chasing his kids around, he enjoys hiking and fishing and sometimes will volunteer to cook meals at a homeless shelter.
General Manager
Patrick grew up working at Ernst Hardware throughout school and graduated from St. Paul High School before earning his degree in Agriculture Economics and International Business from Oregon State University in 1989. After graduating he spent some time working for West Valley Farmers (now Wico) until he came back to Ernst in 1992. He has been our general manager since 2006 and has a wide variety of tasks he tackles daily. He appreciates getting to cultivate and maintain relationships with our customers and community members. Patrick has been an EMT on the St. Paul Volunteer Fire Department since 2000. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, and rooting for Oregon State University sports teams.
Irrigation Design and Sales
Mike has been part of the team since 1965 and currently focuses on designing irrigation systems for large fields. His favorite part of his job is getting to meet new people and help them with their irrigation system projects. Mike grew up in St. Paul, after graduating from high school he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied science from Oregon State University. He has over 40 years of experience in system design, operations, and service of irrigation projects. He Loves spending time at his ranch in the Ochoco mountains. He is on the St. Paul City Council and a St. Paul Rodeo Assoc. member.
Irrigation Design and Sales
Scott works with our customers from start to finish on their irrigation system. He focuses on what will best fit their needs and have a good return on investment, while keeping their future needs in mind. When asked what his favorite part of the job is, he said “I like how everyone just goes with the flow at Ernst.” He has over 22 years of experience in the irrigation field; 10 of those years owning and operating his own company. He say “I am a legend in my own mind.” He enjoys fishing, hiking, and metal detecting.
Tractor Sales
CP Shop Manager and Sales
Joel first came to work for Ernst in 1997, prior to that he had 12 years experience with Wilco, including being Store Manager. He is currently our Hardware Manager, Farm Implement Salesman, and also manages our CP Shop, overseeing ATV,UTV and small engine repair. Joel continues to work on the Family Farm on the Pudding River in his “spare” time. His areas of expertise are animal husbandry, crop sciences, equipment repair, calf pulling, and he is also a calf “river rescue” specialist, which can get kind of tricky during high water. Now there’s a man who wears many hats, and wears them well!!! Call Joel today to schedule your ATV and small engine service!
Irrigation Parts
Jose started at Ernst in 2020. He grew up in Molalla and graduated from Woodburn High School in 2003. He played basketball and Soccer in High School. He was a chicken farmer before coming to Ernst. He likes hunting and fishing in the mountains. He has 3 children, 1 boy and 2 girls. They go to school in St. Paul. Jose also acts as a translator for Ernst.
David has been part of our irrigation parts team since 2019. He helps direct customers to the right pieces for their projects and equipment. His favorite part of the job is getting to deal with his co-workers and our customers directly. He enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing. He can also recite the alphabet backwards.
Parts Manager
Jason helps customers figure out the right parts for their irrigation projects and on occasion helps with some small scale irrigation design projects. His favorite part of the job is working with customers. He has over 15 years of experience in the irrigation industry. Enjoys small scale farming, working at the farmers market, and swimming with his son.
Tractor Parts
Abraham grew up in Beaver Creek and lives now in Canby. He has worked for Ernst since 2002. Abraham works in our ag equipment shop servicing and repairing tractors and implements here and in the field.
Irrigation Service
Irrigation Service Assistant Manager
Carissa started working with Ernst while still in High School, answering phones during the summer. She is currently the admin assistant for the Service department, handling work orders, time cards, office work and she has been with the company for 14 years now. She is originally from Klamath Falls and was very active in FFA and 4H.
Paul grew up near Sliver Creek Falls on his parents farm. Paul started working for a neighbor in high school. After high school he worked for Fisher Implement. He came to Ernst in 2012. He has been married since 1999, has 3 children and lives on a family farm.
Trevor started in 2021. He previously worked 4 or 5 years for a competitor. He started his career in construction, but switched to irrigation. He builds Valley systems and also works on pumps. He lives in Salem and went to high school at South Salem. He played baseball and football. He likes outdoors, camping and fishing up on the Santiam. He is a Seahawks and Mariners fan.
Matthew grew up in Gervais. He played baseball in High School and graduated from Gervais High school in 2014. He currently lives in Salem. He likes to play guitar and drums. He has one brother, has family that lives in Bend and his mother lives in Hillsboro.
Josh is the jack of all trades here at Ernst. He performs hard hose reel service, product support, manure pump service, setup, repair, expert fabrication and has been working here since 2014. He lives in Dallas and is very busy as a dad of 4 children. He likes to fish and spend time outdoors. He is also active in softball with his three older children.
Alex specializes in Well Pumps and Water Systems, and has over 20 years experience in the industry. Alex is also and active member or the Oregon Ground Water Association.
Pat was born on the family farm in the Gervais area, and grew up farming alongside his family and neighbors, many of whom are our customers. He began working for Ernst during High School, and has been here on and off ever since. He joined the U.S. Navy to serve his Country, and during his tour of duty, he learned the trade of Machinery Repairman. He earned his AA in Manufacturing from Chemeketa CC. He has an extensive background in fabrication and machining, including stints with Boeing and Mitchell Lewis & and Staver. Pat specializes in field fabrication and filter station construction, and is branching out into the role of Field Technician. Pat is involved with the Early Days Gas Engine and Tractor Association at Antique Powerland. His farm work ethic shows in everything he does!
Tractor Service
Ag Service Manager and Sales
Dave started with Ernst in 1994, working in the parts department. He has been the service manager since 1997. He lives in Canby where he grew up. He is originally from Long Beach, California. Dave acknowledges that being service manager is a very tough job, since customers are in stressful situations when they need their equipment fixed. Dave believes that it is important for his service department to do the best work they can and to be fair with customers, fixing equipment as quickly and affordably as possible.

Kevin grew up south of Oregon City and worked on his grandfathers’s farm as a boy. He attended the John Deere agtech program in Walla Walla and joined Ernst in 1999. Kevin likes hunting, fishing and restoring cars. He is currently working on a 1974 Chevy Nova and a 1972 short box Chevy pickup. Kevin can fix just about anything you might bring in for service.
Bernard grew up in Sandy, Oregon and came to Saint Paul in 2000. He is one of the mechanics at Ernst and works on tractors and balers. He worked for the Estacada phone company and Fischer Mill supply before Ernst. Most of his work is completed here in the shop, but from time to time he will work on equipment in the field. He owns a few hundred acres and likes growing some hay and timber.
Eric Nasset
Eric is from Silverton and has worked at Ernst since 2015. Most of his time is spent in the shop working on transmissions, hydraulic issues, clutches, etc. He likes bowling and used to belong to a league in Salem. His high score is 275 and he has a 168 average. Eric helps keep our customers going with his expertise in equipment repair.
CP Service
Lonnie started at Ernst in September of 2020 and plays a key role in our small engine shop. Whenever you call to talk to someone in small engine repair or our CP Shop, it is very likely Lonnie is on the other end of the line. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Electrical Department
Ryan installs and repairs electrical services for pumps and installs VFD and pump panels. His favorite part of the job is getting to work at some of the river pump sites. Before joining the Ernst team he worked as a buyer for a grocery store. Ryan enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, and shooting.
Alex works primarily with our local customers installing electrical services and pump controllers. He likes getting to work at the different farms and pump sites in the area that you don’t normally get to see. He has over 16 years of experience in agriculture, industrial, and commercial electric work. When he’s not working, Alex enjoys camping and traveling with his family.
Todd manages the electrical inventory and started with Ernst in 2015. Todd came from 28 years at Platt Electric. He is a gun collector and likes working on his MG. Todd also runs the safety committee for Ernst.
Shipping & Receiving
Came to work for Ernst right out of high school when he graduated in 2013. He works in the shipping department filling orders, UPS, FedEx, etc. He enjoys video games and shooting. He is also fascinated by wolves.
Shipping and Receiving Manager
Bill oversees our shipping and receiving team and helps our parts department and helps get parts ordered. His favorite part of the job is the interaction he has with customers; he enjoys helping guide them to the correct solutions to their needs. Before joining the team at Ernst, he was a nursery grower for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoys the company of friends, golfing, fishing, and has been a member of The Sons of American Legion for over 35 years.
